OUR SERVICES

Sensory Integration Therapy

Ashoka Child Development Centre’s sensory integration therapy is a personalized approach designed to address sensory processing challenges.

Proprioceptive Input :

Proprioception refers to the body's awareness of its position in space. Activities that involve heavy work or resistance, such as lifting or pushing objects, can provide proprioceptive input. This can help individuals feel more grounded and organized.

Vestibular Stimulation:

The vestibular system, located in the inner ear, contributes to our sense of balance and spatial orientation. Activities that involve rocking, spinning, or swinging can stimulate the vestibular system and help individuals regulate their responses to movement.

Tactile Input :

Sensory integration therapy often includes activities that provide different textures and tactile experiences. This may involve touching different materials, playing with sensory bins, or engaging in activities that involve tactile exploration.

Visual and Auditory Integration:

Some individuals may have challenges with processing visual or auditory stimuli. Therapy may include activities to help improve visual tracking, eye-hand coordination, or auditory discrimination.

CBT/ABA Therapy

“Unlocking Potential, One Behaviour at a Time: Transforming Lives with CBT/ABA Therapy!”

Behavioral Assessment:

ABA therapists conduct thorough assessments to identify specific behaviors, their functions and the environmental factors that influence them. This information is used to develop individualized treatment plans.

Skill Development:

ABA therapy is highly effective in teaching new skills across a wide range of domains, including communication, social interaction, academic skills, and daily living skills.

Behavior Management:

ABA techniques can help individuals with autism learn appropriate behaviors and reduce behaviors that may interfere with learning or socialization.

Generalization of Skills:

ABA interventions are designed to promote the generalization of skills across different settings, ensuring that individuals can apply what they've learned in real-world situations.

Vision Therapy

“Seeing Beyond Limits: Discover Clarity and Confidence with Vision Therapy!”

Visual Assessment:

Vision therapy begins with a comprehensive evaluation by a qualified optometrist or ophthalmologist specializing in developmental or behavioral vision care. This assessment helps identify specific visual dysfunctions and areas of improvement.

Therapeutic Activities:

Vision therapy involves a variety of therapeutic activities and exercises designed to strengthen eye muscles, improve visual processing skills, and enhance eye-hand coordination. These activities may include visual tracking exercises, focusing exercises, and eye teaming drills.

Better Eye Teamwork:

Vision therapy helps individuals develop better coordination between the eyes, leading to improved depth perception, spatial awareness, and hand-eye coordination.

Progress Monitoring:

Throughout the course of vision therapy, progress is regularly monitored to track improvements in visual function and performance. Adjustments to the treatment plan may be made based on the individual's response to therapy.

Speech Therapy

“Finding Your Voice: Empowerment Through Speech Therapy!”

Comprehensive Evaluation:

Speech therapy begins with a thorough assessment conducted by a certified speech-language pathologist (SLP). This evaluation helps identify the specific areas of difficulty and tailor the treatment plan to meet the individual's needs.

Therapeutic Techniques:

Speech therapy interventions may include a variety of therapeutic techniques and exercises designed to address specific speech and language goals. These techniques may include articulation therapy, language therapy, fluency therapy, and social communication skills training.

Individualized Treatment Plan:

Based on the results of the evaluation, the SLP develops a personalized treatment plan that targets the individual's unique communication goals and challenges. Treatment plans may include a combination of therapeutic techniques and activities.

Parent and Caregiver Involvement:

Family involvement is an essential component of speech therapy. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to participate in therapy sessions and carry over strategies and techniques into daily routines to support the individual's progress.

Sujok Six Ki Therapy

“Balancing Energy, Healing Harmony: Embrace Wellness with Sujok Six Ki Therapy!”

Acupressure:

Sujok Therapy involves applying pressure to specific points on the hands, feet, and other parts of the body to stimulate energy flow and restore balance. Pressure may be applied using fingers, thumbs, or specialized tools.

Color Therapy:

Each Six Ki energy is associated with a specific color, and color therapy is used to balance and harmonize the body's energy. Practitioners may use colored light, colored clothing, or visualization techniques to enhance the therapeutic effects of treatment.

Seed Therapy:

Seed therapy involves the use of small, natural seeds, such as mustard seeds or lentils, to stimulate acupressure points on the hands and feet. Seeds are often attached to adhesive tape and placed on the corresponding points for extended stimulation.

Moxibustion:

Moxibustion involves the burning of dried mugwort near the surface of the skin to stimulate acupressure points and promote healing. It is often used in conjunction with acupressure or acupuncture techniques.

MAES Therapy

“Unlocking Movement, Unleashing Potential: Transforming Lives with MAES Therapy!”

Individualized Approach:

MAES Therapy recognizes that each person's movement patterns and abilities are unique. Treatment plans are tailored to address the specific needs and goals of the individual.

Task-Oriented Training:

Therapy sessions involve engaging the individual in purposeful activities and tasks that mimic real-life movements. This approach helps improve functional abilities and promotes independence in daily activities.

Whole-Body Integration:

MAES Therapy emphasizes the importance of integrating movement patterns across the entire body rather than focusing solely on isolated muscles or joints. It aims to promote balanced and coordinated movement.

Environmental Adaptations:

MAES Therapy considers the individual's environment and how it influences movement. Therapists may make modifications to the environment or provide assistive devices to support optimal movement and participation.
